Hello. My name is Lee Fairy. I’m an artist and a “Song and Dance Man”. I sing my songs for the people. I sing my own original tunes as well as a wide variety of songs from years past. Though I mainly deal in picking guitar and singing I have my fingers in many pies and toes in many pots. I get into soap box preaching about the state of things then and now, drawing and doodling anything from dogs holding rifles to humans chewing on Milkbones, poetry and prose, essays, many mini manifestos, designing flyers and posters, cracking a joke or two, and just generally causing a fuss.

I plan on seeing more of this country and the world as a whole. No matter where I am I’ll have a guitar to pluck on, air to fill my lungs and sing with, and a hat to catch some tips with. For all the people I’ll be meeting I’ll be sure to pack plenty of friendly “Hello!”s and “How are ya?”s and big smiles to greet them with. No matter how you got here, glad you did. If we already met, good meeting you. If we haven't met yet I hope to meet ya someday soon.

Some biographic info for you sleuths out there...

I was born and raised in Virginia. To be more specific, the DMV, which is the grease trap below our nation's capitol. Growing up, my home town of Manassas was a real “No Man’s Land”. Not quite the rural south, not quite the sterile suburbs, not quite a metropolis. All through my childhood Manassas was in that ugly in between stage you get stuck in when you’re growing out your hair. A colorful mix of Hispanic immigrants, suits working for the fed, salt of the earth working people, average Joe-Andys working at desks, the left behind people without a home nor a family, burnt out servers working and drinking in bars, and a few funky freaks.

I was always an artist and performer since I could remember. Always trying to entertain people and show my stuff. I spent most of my creative energy writing or drawing. Started messing around with percussion and whacking stuff with drum sticks around 7th grade. Next was bass, then guitar, then digital noise, then midi composition, then drum kit, then a little keys, and so on. I didn't do anything serious in the world of music in terms of playing besides jamming with my buddies from time to time. Eventually I got into seriously making tunes on computer software and recording things. All the while writing and drawing and painting. Eventually I got the sense to finally take charge and live my dream of being a guitar-slinging song-and-dance-man. I started taking singing lessons from a vocal coach and plucking, picking, and strumming that guitar every day. I stopped worrying about recording, playing other instruments, trying to sell my visual art, etc. I just hunkered down and focused on my craft: Singing songs, playing guitar, writing songs, learning songs, performing for people.
